Time and Date of Conference
a. New Campus Ministers Institute (NCMI): Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 9:30am – 4:00pm NCMI is a day designed for new Campus Ministers and is geared towards campus ministers in their first two years of campus ministry but is open for all who want to attend. The day will include the history and relevance of CCCM, effective ministry using the Comprehensive Campus Ministry Model, Counseling and Clinical Service information, and Professional Ethics.
b. CCCM National Conference 2016: Tuesday, May 31 (evening) to Friday, June 3 (noon)
This conference is an opportunity for the members of this organization to experience a moment of truth, dialogue, creativity. We will focus on listening to and discerning our practices, needs, and challenges while we envision ways to renew and consolidate our support to members.
As a participant in the conference you will experience a time of recollection, communication, self-care. We hope that you’ll be able to share your needs, practices as well as learn from others and get inspired. This is your chance to contribute to shaping CCCM as a service to you as a member and all those in the association.
Registration and Cost
a. CCCM Conference: $175 This cost includes program, banquet supper on Wednesday, shuttle service to and from the Montreal (YUL) airport, transportation and tour in Old Montreal, snacks and refreshments.
b. New Campus Ministers Institute: $50 This includes program and lunch.
c. Bursaries: There are bursaries available from the Solidarity Fund. Please send in your application form by April 29th, 2016. See Fund document. d. Online Registration: Please register online by May 10, 2016. Click here for the form.
Travel and Accommodations:
a. Venue: Located on Île Saint-Bernard in Châteauguay, on the shores of the Châteauguay River and Lac Saint-Louis, Manoir D’Youville is a former residence of the Grey Nuns. It is now an exceptional resort that boasts a 118-room hotel and eight meeting rooms, located in a lush, tranquil setting where nature meets culture. The breathtaking views are at once relaxing and reinvigorating. Nature trails, an outdoor heated pool, an orchard and nautical activities are available free of charge. You may also book a massage or spa treatment onsite (extra fee).
b. Travel: Travel through Montreal (Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport). Montreal airport code is YUL. Manoir D’Youville is approximately 25km from the airport. CCCM will be providing a shuttle service from the airport on Tuesday May 31st (between 1:00 and 5:00 PM), and to the airport on Friday June 3rd (early afternoon). We will adjust these shuttle times based on the arrival and departure schedule of our participants and confirm them to you.
c. Accommodations (to be booked directly with Manoir D’Youville): Please book by phone and be sure to mention the Canadian Catholic Campus Ministry event to get our group rate.
