CCCM exists to bring the Gospel of Christ to the academic world, through a national network; the ministry of the National Coordinator and the CCCM Executive Board; publications, programs and other means of sharing resources; national and regional Campus Ministers' and Students' conferences.
CCCM has its roots in the early Catholic Colleges in Canada, dating back over 200 years. The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) named the first National Chaplain in 1948 and our organization is now on over 75 campuses across Canada.
CCSA has evolved out of the Catholic Colleges and Newman Clubs, to its present form, a national association representing all Catholic students on campuses across Canada.
CCSA and the National Catholic Student Coalition (NCSC) in the United States of America form the North American Coordination of International Movement of Catholic Students (IMCS).
