From June 25th to 29th, Canadian Catholic Campus Ministers descended into New Haven CT to participate in our annual general meeting and attend the 2012 Global Conference of Chaplains in Higher Education themed, “Mosaics in Motion: Spiritual Leadership in a Multifaith World.”
The CCCM AGM was well attended by 27 members who made the journey south to New Haven CT. Our NCMI session – New Campus Ministers Institute – was attended by four campus ministers who benefited greatly from the wisdom and advice from some of our senior campus ministers and board representatives. Resulting from our meetings, we elected two new board members – Martha Fauteux from St. Jerome’s University and Nancy Quan from St. Mary’s University. Also, we confirmed the location for our 2013 AGM meeting being held next spring and kindly hosted by Stephanie Molloy and the people at Campion College. A big thank you to Martha, Nancy and Stephanie for their generosity and dedication to CCCM!
In addition to the dedicated work given at the AGM sessions, CCCM members were also active participants throughout the Global Conference of Chaplains in Higher Education having many of its member’s present papers and facilitate workshops throughout the week. With all this work, CCCM members were glad to relax and celebrate on the Tuesday evening at St. Thomas More Catholic Center at Yale University to acknowledge the life achievement of many of its members celebrating anniversaries of service to campus ministry, profession of vows or ordination.
